This place is always busy around lunch time but they still manage to get you your food out quickly compared to other restaurants. I love the Thai Emerald Curry. It is my absolute favour and you get a lot of rice and a huge bowl of curry. It is definitely worth the money.
I love this place. Its always busy which typically means good food. The service is fast and friendly. The Thai food here is delicious. I love that you can pick your level of spice because i love spicy food. The portions are also very generous.
whenever i go to this restaurant it is always jam-packed! but even if they always have a lot of customers, they serve the food fast. they have big servings! 1 serving is almost good for 2 persons. and it's very affordable! plus their food is very tasty. highly recommended!
Bit of a line up to get in but that tells you that people know about this hot spot. Food was delicious and plentiful. Price was great!
A couple of my favorite dishes are Golden Curry Shrimp and Thai Islamic Noodles (not on the menu but you can ask for it). Becuase of the insanity that is Salad Kind I don't actually go there more than a handful of times a year. I recommend take-out. And get an order of spring rolls. Their location at the Shops at Don Mills, a fine-dining version called Linda's, has the same menu, just smaller portions and way over-priced, so not really worth the ambiance.
I love Salad King. I recommened the Thai Islamic noodle. It might not be listed on the menu but if you ask for it, they'll make it.
Salad King is by far my favouriite Thai place. I tried about 8 - 10 Thai places in Toronto (even the really high class ones) but nothing is comparable to Salad King. Its not your evening dine in type of place, but the food is AMAZING. What I love is its so fresh and flavourful. I reccomend the SIAM NOODLES and the GOLDEN THAI CURRY. Even their chicken Satay with peanut sauce is great!
They have a classier version of Salad King, same owners too called Lindas - I really like the atmosphere but I feel the food tastes exactly the same but you just spend 25 dollars more for the ambiance.
Salad King has been a favourite take-out and eat-in restaurant of mine for years. Tucked away down near Ryerson, you'll always find it packed with people which is definately a good indication that you have found a great place to eat. Service is quite fast and the prices are so cheap, every dish is under $10 and you get enough to share. I suggest getting 2-4 dishes for takeout and having a thai get-together with friends. We never got past 5 chilis, which was quite spicy, but for those who are adventurous or just plain crazy, you can go up to 20 chilis (I think.)
I still don't know why it's called Salad King, I think this signage probably confuses alot of people but for those in the know- this is a great place to eat with cheap, tasty, fast food. Give it a try!
For the price, Salad King offers filling portions and good food. Their golden curry is delicious, but I find their pad thai a bit sour. This place is often packed with people during dinner service so get there earlier if you don't want to wait in line.
