Really disappointed with the service of Sears lately (both in the delivery stores and over the phone). I made a purchase (a wonderful deal!) before Christmas online that showed the item was in stock and to be delivered in two weeks. Three weeks had passed and I still had not even received a shipping date. I called their customer service and they told me my order was cancelled without giving any reasons. I'm very happy I called or else I would have never known my order was cancelled...how horrible is that!? Unfortunately Sears has now lost my business.
Products bought cod to be paid for at the catalogue store- when I tried to return them, they "had no money",
And handed me a hand written scrap of paper saying this is your IOU. 3days later they called to say they had my $300 and told me to get a sears credit card to solve this problem! I called the sears head office, they agreed this is how the local stores in smaller cities30,000(mine) is done- and to get a credit card to solve " my issue".
NOT IMPRESSED!
I am not a fan of Sears. I find their prices are rediculousley high for the same crap you can buy at any wal mart. I also find their selections minimal and have never once been asked if i needed any assistance by any of the staff.
I went to sears in peterborough ontario canada on friday night to buy boots for my son and it was absolutley horrible. The girls in the shoe section did not once ask us if we needed help (there were 4 of them at one point standing around chatting) and when we approached them for help they seemed annoyed that we were asking for help. I filed a complaint in store and will be following up on my complaint tomorrow.
