I've heard a lot about this bakery and I've always wanted to try it. My mom and I ended up here for Summerlicious last year at lunch time. It was jammed packed (typical of summerlicious). Unfortunately, my impression of this place suffered mostly due to the service. When we arrived, the hostess greeted us and told us to wait a few minutes. When the first table was available though, it was given to the other couple that arrived later than we did and we were then told that another table reserved for us was taken up by an elderly lady who wouldn't leave since arriving for breakfast 3 hours ago. So, we had to wait another 20 mins before they finally got her to leave. We ordered food and they were really polite about it and while that was another bought of waiting (half an hour), the entree was really delicious. I had a kobe beef steak with salad and while it was a small portion, it had a nice blend of flavours and was really tender. The dessert part, which I had anticipated given that this was a bakery, was actually below par from what I expected. I had the platter of cheesecakes, which was not a standard one but just three little round balls of flavoured cheese on their respective graham bottoms. The texture was a little too soft and there wasn't anything special about it in my opinion. Then, there was a bit more waiting because there were no waiters or hosts around to look after the rest of the guests. All in all, this lunch experience at the bakery was alright but it dragged out a lot longer than it needed to be and I'd probably think twice before going from Mississauga to Toronto again for that kind of service and food quality.

I love Senses bakery...their presentation is above par and their pastries and cake are delicious. I personally like my pastries/cake to be rich and Senses does not disappoint in this department. Heavenly. :o)

Every time we have a special occassion, we come here to pick up one of their delectable cakes. We love the chocolate blackout torte. One of the small pieces is so rich and delicious, if you eat slowly you can share it with your sweetie. Alex and I shared a piece on the night he proposed!
