    Henderson highway

    The HO told me that I still owe them $84 from NSF in Feb 6 to 12, 2020 that’s why they cannot freeze my account- but it’s consistent they are charging me $17plus bi/weekly.
    I’ve been constantly going to the gym in 2020 to 2021 - and they never discussed it to me until this year January 2022.
    I was so frustrated that I cancelled my account last week- The lady in the reception told me I can use the gym until Feb 7.
    So I went out today and like to join the class but the old lady at the front told me in a very rude and very loud voice - you cannot use the gym until you paid this!
    I’m really disappointed and feels belittle- I just so pissed off and walked away.
    This is how they treated their customers.
    So be careful dealing with this kind of people. I will not forget this and will not recommend this establishment ever!

    Terrible place it is a huge scam

    Would not recommend going there they just want your money there is no communication I have read so many reviews about this place and it is not a good gym to attend would not recommend at all everyone I know says they have only heard bad things about shapes as well wish I heard all of that before getting my membership :/ so do yourself a favor and go anywhere else but shapes

    This place is a rip off

    My friend and I joined this gym last October because of a promotion they were having. Thought it was a great deal. My friend was constantly harassed for payment and she couldn't figure out why. I on the other hand had no communication whatsoever up until last week. I received an email stating that I had an outstanding balance. Which I thought was really strange. Replied to the email got some generic answer, never really answered my question. Told me to contact head office. When I contacted them this morning, they stated that I owed them $18.64. I asked her why I was being charged membership is over, and she stated that it is a bi-weekly payment since your 1 year is over. My credit card was charged the $18.64, I was WTF!!!! She then tells me that I needed to go down to the gym to cancel my membership in person but that takes 30 days to cancel so I will be paying for yet another month. This place is just a cash grab if you ask me. This company uses peoples credit cards without your knowledge. BEWARE PEOPLE

    I will definitely recommend this gym to my friends/relatives!!!they have great staffs, clean facility and specially they have 24/7 memeber access!and its close to my place.

    Absolutely Terrible

    All they care about is taking your money. Asked for clarification about certain fees when signing up and the employee lied several times to get us to sign; bi-weekly payment ended up being over double what she said it would be. Called head office to complain when we finally realized how much was being taken out - not only was there "nothing she could do" and no way to cancel the membership, but she was incredibly rude and ended up hanging up on me. My sister was with me when I got my membership and she said she would think about getting one, so Shapes calls her multiple times a day for 5 MONTHS and counting to harass her about signing up. Incredibly rude and unprofessional, not to mention WAY too expensive for their shitty service. Do not give them your money!!

    Bad experience. Made feel like a criminal. Not behave well with their members. Their intention is just to get the person sign the contract that's all. Then they make the member feel if he has committed any crime. They humiliate the members. Worst service found ever. I would never ever recommend my friends to get a membership here.

    This is a horrible establishment. I stopped my membership last year. Didn't realize that they keep charging you indefinitely. Even after your membership year expires. I had to pay 2 extra months because you have to give a written months notice. Oh wait...... it gets even better. I was very upset and having to pay 2 extra months and put a stop payment on they're automatic withdrawals because I wanted someone from finance to call me so I could express how I felt about their establishment and that this would be the last payment I would be making. I would never be a member of this gym ever again. She confirmed that the account was closed. Guess what apparently a year later, I find out... it was not closed! They apparently " lost" my paper cancelling my membership. And they only reason I hadn't noticed was because i had put a stop payment on them. They reason I found out is because I randomly found 4 payments taken out of my bank..... those f****** picked different days of the month and took money from my acct. I haven't been a member in 1 year. This has to be illegal!
    SOMEONE needs to stop these people. I now see all these other people complaining about them. They are crooks.

    Poor, poor service, unfriendly staff.
    Been a member for 7 years and everytime i have an admin issue, it is a nightmare. The gym equipment is not the best. I have been a member this long because of conveneince, its close to home and that the only reason i am a member - but i am at the point of ending this membership. Not looking forward to that either as i have friends that had great difficulty ending their memberships.
    The recent launch of access cards or fob keys was another big failure. Promises of a 2 week wait ended up to a almost 3 month wait. I paid for an access card in Dec 22.2016; its end March 2017, and still waiting... staff are not helpful, no one follows up, you feel that you are a complete inconvenience to them. Calls to head office seldomly gets answered. Absolute awful service. I have many other awful communications with shapes i can share, and this is not only at one facility? Is their something in their coffee that makes them so miserable? Seriously....
    Please do not join this gym. I am ending mine asap.

    I signed up for basic membership a couple of months ago at Southdale. Was persuaded to buy hot yoga. I declined a personal trainer. Since then I have received at least 3 emails of various offers which I have declined,the latest on Dec 30 th. Well, I showed up on new year's day to work out. I was told I was banned from the premise and all future membership at any facility. Baffled as I have not been notified or warned of any abuse or misconduct. When I asked the staff, all I got was a robotic answer of " it's between you and headoffice, talk to head office. We don't know why, we are only following instructions from head office ". I asked to at least have my workout since I already showed up not knowing anything and had been there the previous day. No, 3 staff members rudely ganged up on me and refused me access without reason. I have never felt so disrespected. I enquired if my payment was stopped too, again same robotic answer, "ask head office". They gave me the number and told me they were open Jan 2nd which of course was wrong. I am going to call back today. After reading these reviews however ;I shudder to think of what they'll say. I was stunned but sounds like they can do anything and get away with it. I imagine if THEY terminated my membership for whatever reasons I am not privy to and without any prior advice, they also terminated my PAP or I will been seeking counsel on that. I've since gone back to my previous gym.
    As a business owner, employer and utilizer of various services, I was utterly shocked.!!!

    I have signed an yearly membership for myself and my wife on a commitment of more than 2000.00 dollars about 5 months ago. Then approximately a month ago I had my shoes stolen on their facility at Pembina highway. In the same day I complained to the employees on the front desk and they simply mistreated me saying I should be mistaken and that couldn't happen, probably I had lost my shoes. And they also said if that was true it was not their business. They are not responsible for it and they would not do anything about it. Then I talked to the manager of Pembina unit and she told me again it was not their responsibility. So Ive tried to solve my problem talking to someone from the head office. I asked them to see the footage from the place where my shoes were and the lady that I emailed said they could not access to protect the members privacy but if I sent her a police report she could do it. I did the police report and sent to them. Then she got another snag and said actually she just could access the cameras if the police asked for it. I asked for a discount divided on the last payments I have on our contracts to try compensate my harm but they said they could not do it. And when I said I would cancel the plan she just told me "go ahead and do it on any of our facilities, you are going to pay the rest of the 7 months you still have on the contract anyways."
    That is the type of respect they have for their members. What they said made me thinking, who they are protecting their? Theaves?
    Talking to some friends I discovered it have been happening to other people several times there.
    Do not they give me reasons to think that could be one of his employees who is stealing us? They do not want to check it. Does not matter for them.
    Anyways, Shapes does not care about their members.
    Be careful there, you could be the next falling into the trap. And you know what Shapes is going to do. Laughting on your face as they are doing with me.
