Best shop for all your needs
I prefer shoppers drug mart to all other retailers as it covers everything from food, medicines, toiletries and cosmetics. Plus you get the PC Optimum points for everything you shop. It's the best place to shop and save money and redeem points for regular stuff bought.
Expensive
Sdm is expensive - even on sale, they are usually still more expensive on sale, when are other stores its regular price or cheaper.
Optimum points are ok
Lots of variety, staff especially cashiers are rude & dumb, cosmeticians are kinda fake cause they need the sales.
A+
I love this store. They always have a great selection of beauty products and amazing offers. The stuff is always super friendly and are happy to answer all your questions. And they also have an online shop. A+
Great store
It’s a good store, I can grab everything from groceries to makeup, and I love that they have high end makeup products as well! I always have a good time in Shoppers, employees give you your space while shopping, and are available for help when needed.
Great deals.
Look forward ever week to the great deals that shoppers offer. There 2 day sales are the best. I find myself picking up alot of my grocery store items at shopper's. Plus I collect points from my pc optimum. More points..free stuff..why not.
I never missed checking out the Shoppers Drugmart weekly flyers for everything on sale. Most of the time they get good deals. I always check the clearance section for some good items too.
SDM is definitely my go-to place to buy drugstore cosmetics for my SO and myself. They might price themselves sightly higher than other places but their Optimum point system is one of the best ones right now in Canada. So when you combine their sale prices with your Optimum offers, I do believe their prices can be very affordable to the masses. I have been collecting points for several years now and I always wait until the mega redemption point events to reedem my points!
SDM has a great selection of drugstore cosmetics compare to other drugstores like Rexall or London Drugs in my opinion so that's why I tend to shop there more often. The only thing that I would love SDM to carry are Asian cosmetics as Korean/Japanese/Taiwanese beauty are getting more and more popular with the public. Everyone is searching the latest product that will make them achieve that glowing skin and I don't know why Loblaws, their parent company, did not make any move towards that industry yet. I believe it will attract more customers so if you are reading this Loblaws, please make Asian cosmetics more available in Canada!!!
For me, I purchase items at Shopper's Drug Mart when they are on sale only, as the "every day" price can be more than what it is at other stores for the exact same item. I do love the Optimum points and the wide variety of products that they carry. One thing I've learned about that store is you must always check your receipt. Several times I've purchased items that were sale priced, but the cash register did not reflect that and charged full price.
Great deals and you get points on almost everything. You can get bonus points, 10x or more, sometimes dollars off. You load coupons. I always get perfume when it goes on $17.77, if it's a perfume I want and it's full sized. Affordable makeup, beauty supplies, health, food, etc.
While Sephora is where I buy my makeup, I do love Shoppers too! The only drugstore brand I still buy frequently is NYX and I usually leave shoppers with a NYX lipstick or eyeliner or two. Shoppers often has AWESOME clearance deals too! I've purchased all of my perfumes from Shoppers and they've all been no more than $20 (Nicki Minaj Pink Friday, Justin Bieber Girfriend, Elizabeth Arden Red Door Shimmer, Play Boy that I forget the name of, Roberto Cavalli etc) all but 2 have been $10 or $5 actually... They also do carry brands like Benefit, Stila and Elizabeth Arden, so I do buy some higher ends there as well if I'm not planning on going to Sephora anytime soon. Compared to Walmart and other drugstore I find that Shoppers has higher prices on food, toiletries etc though.
