Soiree - A Must-Do Once in Your Life!

This is a pop-up restaurant put on by Dinner4Four. A prominent area chef creates a dinner menu and 'tables' are set-up for dining, in our case 'garden domes' along a canal. Beautiful outdoor space.

Clear-plastic domes (the size of a small room) were set-up for this experience and the interiors decorated with fresh flowers, candles, sparkling lights along the ceiling and contemporary furniture. So fun! Check out my pics for a better visual.

A great experience, especially with the later evening seating as the ambiance created with the candles and lights is simply amazing at night!

The meal itself was okay. For dinner we were served a salad, soup, main and dessert. Wines & cocktails menu were available as well. Service was great and staff pleasant, the chef even dropped by our dome. Found some of the dishes cold by the time they got from the kitchen to our table. For the cost of this dinner, I also expected larger portions (not tapas sizes) and perhaps another course.

Although this experience was amazing and I'd recommend doing it at least once, for the cost, I certainly expected ... more!

I also found it silly to have to 'reserve' a dome (over $100) for a maximum of 2 hours use. We then had to pay additionally for each meal. There is no option to eat anywhere other than within the dome so why this separate and pricey charge in addition to the meals? The total cost was around $600., for 4 people.
