I usually don't like thai food, but this restraunt had very tasty spring rolls.I couldn't get enough to fill my plate. And the service was excellent.
Went to Spring Rolls a few weeks ago for the first time. The indoor decor was nice and the restaurant had a cool vibe about it. The service was decent, and the food was also tasty, but not one of the best thai dishes I have ever had.
I only had the pad thai and didn't try anything else on the menu - so it is hard to judge the rest of their dishes.
Overall, it is a fair price for a quality meal. If you aren't too picky and looking for a social/fun environment, I would recommend spring rolls. If you are looking for high quality thai cuisine, I don't think this is the best option.
Fast food Thai style, but not the real thing. This is good in a pinch, but there are many other places I'd go first.
I really like Springrolls. I've found all of their Toronto locations to be great. The food is so cheap, yet so delicious and the portions are big enough to totally fill you up. I love their pad thai and chicken satay. Everyone that I know that has gone to Springrolls has enjoyed their experience. It's also great for large parties as most of their locations have seperate areas for large groups. I definitely would recommend this restaurant for cheap and delicious thai food.
This restaurant is really hit and miss. Sometimes when I go it's great, other times definitely not worth the money. It's not one of my top choices for Thai because the quality is unreliable. Regardless, I still go to Spring Rolls, as it is a great place to meet up with friends and have dinner at a very reasonable price.
I was thrilled when Spring Rolls opened up in North Toronto a couple years ago. The service was fine. The atmosphere was trendy and the food was yummy, no matter what was ordered. Delivery was okay too. Unfortunately, in the past year it's gone down hill. Consistently disappointing.
The big word for this restaurant? B-L-A-N-D. I don't think the food at Spring Rolls is appetizing at all - their food lacks flavour. They don't even use the right ingredients for the dishes they serve. Naturally, my expectations are a lot higher (my background is south-east asian & I have a lot of chefs in my family!) I think this place is for people who are just taking the first step to trying something different other than hamburgers & french fries.
We order their takeout quite a bit. I prefer to eat in because the food is fresher, but it's a good quick fix for dinner. The only thing is lately the food hasn't been as good. I found a hair in our last order of springrolls and they said they'd give us a credit for it but never did. On other occasions it hasn't been as fresh as it is in house. I recommend this for a quick lunch or something but not a big hot date.
This is a great restaurant. The food is good and the price is very reasonable. The atmosphere is relaxing, ideal for getting together with your gal pals or a date with a cute guy. I really enjoy their food and they have a good selection to choose from. My only complain about the place is that I find their food too salty. I've eaten there a few times and I also find myself very thirsty for the rest of the night. However, I will definitely go back again b/c this place is worth it!!
The food is good for the price you will pay. It is a great way to introduce people to thai and thai inspired foods. There are now several locations so service depends on which one you go to and what time of day you are going. A great place to order take out from as well!
