This used to be my all time fav restaurant, but then I tried Salad King and more authentic Pan-Asian/Thai places and Spring Rolls didnt do justice to my emerging taste buds. Its very fresh and the price is reasonable - not to mention the presentation is amazing for what your paying for. But I feel that if your a beginner in the Pan-Asian field spring rolls is for you, but Spring Rolls lacks the authentic taste.
Overall, I suggest the Famous House Pad Thai, the Curry Pad thai is good there too. Not to much of a fan of their chicken dishes.
Yummy! Great variety of options on the menu! Reasonably priced, great service and an eye pleasing ambience. The dinner for two is an excellent amount of food for the price and truly delicious! Can`t wait to go back. Perfect for a girls night or a romantic night with the boy!
I've heard a lot of positive things about Spring Rolls, so last week my friend and I decided to give it a try. We went to the restaurant on Queen Street (across from Much). I agree with some of the other reviewers, the atmosphere was nice - it was calm, I the lighting was nice and I like the set up (although the tables could have been a little farther apart).
We ordered calamari to share and I had a pad thai entree - I was impressed with the calamari (perfectly crisp and well cooked), but I wasn't so impressed with the pad thai - I think I was expecting a more flavourful pad tai from a specifically Asian restaurant.
The price was good for the amount we ordered and I would definitely choose to go there again. I might choose if different location though, our service wasn't awesome.
I have been going to Spring Rolls for a long time - from the time there was just one location near Yonge and Bloor. I think as more restaurants have opened up the quality has gone down. Recently I went to the Yonge Dundas location and the dish I ordered (fish) was lukewarm. I let my waitress know and she took it back and the kitchen simply nuked it. I have to say I wasn't very impressed. I had a better experience most recently at the Yonge and Eglinton location. The food and service were much better. They had just introduced sushi to the menu so my sister and law gave it a try. It was ok...but not great. Probably won't be ordering that again.
I would still recommend Spring Rolls for the diversity of the menu. It's a great place to go with a group of people as it's pretty much guaranteed someone will find something they can enjoy.
I work 6 days a week, which means on my one day off there is a good chance I will be to tired to cook, even boil water!! so I do Spring Rolls! There food is fresh, filling and tasty! the spicing and pricing are just right for me!
I do my ordering over the net, I find if I have made a mistake, or want to add something the customer service staff are for the most part polite. The food Always arrives hot, which is a plus!
I've just moved here and where I"m from there wasn't any Spring Roll restaurants so I was very intrigued after I saw a slew of them here in the city. My boyfriend and I had to try it and I was very impressed. I love it! they need to move to Vancouver!
It's a good place to dine out and the atmosphere is great - a nice to have a lovely birthday bash. However, despite the variety of menu items and uniqueness of the items, my favourite at this restaurant is their signature dish - the Pad Thai. However, in regards to the other items on the menu, I'm not that big of a fan. There's just not enough for me to come back for more.
Went to Spring Rolls a few weeks ago for the first time. The indoor decor was nice and the restaurant had a cool vibe about it. The service was decent, and the food was also tasty, but not one of the best thai dishes I have ever had.
I only had the pad thai and didn't try anything else on the menu - so it is hard to judge the rest of their dishes.
Overall, it is a fair price for a quality meal. If you aren't too picky and looking for a social/fun environment, I would recommend spring rolls. If you are looking for high quality thai cuisine, I don't think this is the best option.
We order their takeout quite a bit. I prefer to eat in because the food is fresher, but it's a good quick fix for dinner. The only thing is lately the food hasn't been as good. I found a hair in our last order of springrolls and they said they'd give us a credit for it but never did. On other occasions it hasn't been as fresh as it is in house. I recommend this for a quick lunch or something but not a big hot date.
This is a great restaurant. The food is good and the price is very reasonable. The atmosphere is relaxing, ideal for getting together with your gal pals or a date with a cute guy. I really enjoy their food and they have a good selection to choose from. My only complain about the place is that I find their food too salty. I've eaten there a few times and I also find myself very thirsty for the rest of the night. However, I will definitely go back again b/c this place is worth it!!
