St. Tropez downtown (Horton Plaza) San Diego was the best breakfast we had on this trip. I had the crepes with maple syrup (pictured) and Alex had an almond croissant. We both had a latte. It was about $20ish for the two of us. The crepes were fantastic and had just a hint of cinnamon and nutmeg in them and a dollop of real whipping cream. Divine! We had a cute French waiter serving us who hardly spoke English. Bonus!

I wish we would have come here again the next morning instead of visiting their other Hillcrest location. That was an entirely different experience. My crepes were burnt, the lattes were not good and the restaurant was dingy. On that note, there is nothing worth visiting in Hillcrest. We went there for shopping purposes on recommendation from a makeup artist at MAC with clown makeup on. I should have known. There is absolutely no shopping in this area. Sorry people but two tacky boutiques and a goodwill store does not constitute shopping.

I highly recommend the downtown location, but not Hillcrest. They also have locations in Little Italy, Encinitas and Rancho Bernardo.
