100% OF CHICKS DIG IT
Star Diner is a must-visit diner to any Kingstonian or those who are visiting the area! Easily over-looked, tucked in to a little nook in the commercial spaces on Princess Street - this place is not to be missed out on. The 1950's theme is carried throughout, from the old, red leather booths, ketchup-and-mustard coloured stools, and teal paint, to the cardboard cut-outs of Marilyn and Elvis - and in every framed black and white Hollywood photo in between. Serving a variety of seafood, soup, and burger-and-fry-type breakfast and lunch entrees as well as desserts that taste like they are fresh from home, Star Diner has something that everybody will love.
Service is amazing and staff are friendly as ever. Food is great, simple, and well-cooked. Atmosphere is comfortable and home-y, and the restaurant is clean (despite it's '50's grunge look).
Try their fritters, pie, and "hangover style" french fries (poutine)! Gotta have lunch here AT LEAST once in your life.
