Sushi Queen opened recently this summer (2010). Located south of Gerrard on the east side of Bay Street, this Izakaya serves a wide variety of standard and special sushi dishes.

1) Price: You can get dirt-cheap fish anywhere, but SQ is known for it's quality. Their food is soooo tasty. During lunch hour, for example, you can get a maki set (3 rolls) for about $11. (They'll be the best 3 rolls you ever eat.)

2) Food. So addictive. It has ruined other restaurants for me. I always compare them to SQ and have yet to find someone who can compete. The chefs have great presentation skills - everything is neat, clean and fresh-looking every time. Try the Tokyo roll!!! - It's amazing. Mmmm tokyo roll.

3) Service. The servers are smart, polite and fast. If you need a quick lunch, they can get you in, fed and out in 20 minutes. On the other hand, if you're camping out for the evening, they won't bother you. They also accommodate big groups and will do separate checks if you ask.

4) Location. This is the type of place I bring my parents when they visit and I need an inexpensive place that serves great food. I would totally bring a date here too (classy neighborhood, good ambiance, clean, new and well kept). But it's also a great casual place for lunch or a late dinner during the week. Oh, they also deliver! Free over $20 or so, but don't quote me because they may have changed their policy since.
