We went to this restaurant yesterday and ordered a quarter chicken with fries, bun and the sauce. We had ask for the fries to be extra crispy. Well, the fries were very disappointing just barely cooked. The chicken was very well done and rather chewy. The only thing I liked was happy with was my Pepsi of which I did got free refills on. I was very thirsty. The service was okay. The waitress could barely speak English and was therefore hard to understand. She did come back to see if we did get crispy fries and we said that we didn't. She was kind enough to bring us some crispy fries half way into out meal. The person was not our waitress who presented us with our meal. We asked her if those were crispy fries and she said yes and ran off. Well, I was disappointed in the meal and won't be going back there. Would I recommend that restaurant to anyone else. Nope...

The Swiss Chalet in South Edmonton Common, Edmonton, AB is an excellent place to go for a meal. Good food, service and location. Prices very good. A family style restaurant with a great menu, you can have an alcoholic beverage if you want. They specialize in chicken, ribs and now seafood, have great salads and sides. I would recommend this restaurant to anyone wanting good food without the super high price tag.
