This is my favorite supermarket in Ottawa for more difficult to find ingredients. Lots of vegan options, tofus, sauces, and exotic spices. Really well laid out store, service is always helpful and friendly!
I love shopping at t&t;. They always have a great selection of foods and other dry good items. I also find it great value for what yo are getting. Sometimes they have great seafood sales as well. I also like their hot selection of food and dim sum. great little stop for lunch on the go!
I like T&T;supermarket. We used to buy fresh ocean fish and meat. It has a great variety of bread and buns, my favorite are coconut buns and some cookies. Also they make such a great cakes. Sometimes they have promotions for orchids. I bought mine last week for only $9.99 instead of $25. Also veggies and fruits always fresh and a great price. And almost forgot about sushi....when you are in a rush it`s a great opportunity to grad a box of sushi or sashimi with you. Highly recommend this market.
This brand makes a coconut bread that is to die for. I have never found anything that can compare to it and it lasts quite a while. The price is very affordable.
If you want to purchase any kind of asian food, i definitely recommend just going to the T&T;supermarket. They literally have everything and anything you want and or need to make any asian dish you desire. I used to drive around the city going to different stores looking for the things i needed to make Pinterest recipes i found online. I discovered this place and literally the running around town stopped. The prices are very good as well. They don't break the bank like Whole Foods does. It is rather crowded and most of the time you have to fine what you are looking for yourself, so it is sort of like a scavenger hunt. But once you have been a couple of times you start to understand the store a little more! I lived in Vancouver for 10 years, and i still make a point of going out to Richmond to get a few things to take back home with me when i visit!
T & T Supermarket is like the go to market for most Asians. I used to live in Richmond, BC and I must say I frequent this Supermarket quiet often. They have all types of foods and some already made food as well. They even have pre-maid bubble tea.
It doesn't matter what time of the day or evening I visit T&T;, it is busy! The line up to pay is insane. I don't even try to go there on the weekends as it is impossible to shop with all those people.
Service is hit and miss for me. Sometimes I would get someone really rude and pretend they don't see you. Sometimes I get really helpful employees, I guess just depends on the luck of the draw. :)
I find that now a days the prices aren't as competitive as it used to be but I guess it's because of the economy.
Overall good supermarket to go to for some Asians goods. They have a great bakery section as well.
Just try to avoid weekends and try to go after 5:00pm if you want to avoid the rush. I like to shop and look at things so I prefer when it is not too busy.
I love T&T;. It's so fun to walk around and see all the different types of food there. Some are so strange( to me) and the prices are really good. They have an excellent bakery that makes the best bread, square loaves. I only buy bread from there now. Can't go back to regular bread after theirs. Great selection of candies and snack foods. Every flavour you can think of. The kids like to look at the live fish tanks in the seafood department. Nice produce selection. Really fun store wether you buy a lot or just go in to try something new.
Love T&T;! Such an incredible variety of products, produce and meals that everyone can enjoy! I love how reasonably priced their items are as well, so it is awesome shopping here.
Awesome supermarket to find fresh vegetables and meat, but the price and service is not the best. I find that some of the western grocery stores do offer a better deal. But if you are looking for Asian imported foods and snacks, and things with an Asian twist, then definitely this is the place to be!
This is one of the best east Asian grocery stores for stocking up on Chinese, Japanese and Korean noodles, rice, veggies and snack items. The veggies and fruit are fresh, clean and very reasonably priced. The store is always jam packed so be prepared for long line ups. They also offer fresh food that you can eat on site or takeaway. The quality of the fresh food is just mediocre ... not bad but definitely not the best. The customer service has improved since they were bought put by Loblaws. At least now most of the workers speak and understand English. Their canned goods however are usually found quite dusty so beware and wipe them down before opening. They also have a great section for fresh meat and seafood.
