Being a new client coming into a salon can be intimidating. However I did not feel that at all coming to Taz in Yorkville. I was greeted with by such a bubbly receptionist (with amazing curly hair)! She made me feel welcomed instantly. My colourist was Dawn who took me from a washed out brown to a rich and warm brunette. She also recommended a treatment which would leave my hair conditioned and shiny (she was right)! I was reluctant to cut my hair as I'm trying to grow it but no my end are in need of a good clean up. Dawn recommended me to see Sisi who assured me she would be gentle and not go scissor crazy. My stylist Sisi was great she only took off a minimal amount and refreshed my hair with long layers. My hair was still long and look way less damaged. Thanks girls for the great service I will definitely be returning in a couple months.
so happy to have found a salon close to home, with Taz opening up their second location in the kingsway i couldnt wait to try it out, i have tried many places and for the first time in a long time ive left with exactly what i was looking for, i was booked with Joanne for my colour, who was very friendly, and actually listened to what i was saying which made me feel comfortable, once we decided on a colour she called over christine who i was booked in for with my cut which i thought was great because she could actually see what my hair was like, once again another friendly and understanding person, who took time in between a client to listen to what i was looking for. my end result? bang on exactly what i wanted ,if you are in need of a new salon i would highly recommend you go see Joanne for your colour and Christine for your hair cut at the kingsway location! i will definately be going back.:)
I have been going to Daniel for a couple of years now and I am one of those people who is very picky about who cuts my hair. He always gives me a really good cut and I walk out of there satisfied with the results every single time. I didn't find it to be a snotty place even though it is in Yorkville and believe me, walking into the place with my "mom" shoes and out of date clothes is enough to get treated badly if that is how they wanted to treat people who aren't on the cutting edge of style. Yes it is a little pricey and I shouldn't be spending so much on a hair cut but considering I walk around wearing it all the time I think it is a good investment.
I have long hair (I want to keep long), and their stylist Kris really listens and gives you just a trim, if that's all you need. She knows how to keep it healthy and give me nice, subtle layers and shape. Plus, Kris Genga is super nice, I can't recommend her enough!! Love it at Taz!!
