I love this store so much, and what makes this store even better is that it is fair trade so all the merchandise in the store is made by people in third world countries. I love that everything is hand made it makes it such a special experience because you know you are buying a great item made so beautifully and also helping with the proceeds of each item you buy. So much selection to choose from, a great place to buy loved ones gifts.
Every fall when I went to university in CornerBrook NewFoundland, I would look forward to Ten Thousand Villages coming. The products are unique and gorgeous, and the teas and hot chocolates are really good as well. I could easily spend hundreds of dollars in a single visit to this market. It's a great place to shop for christmas gifts. I am full of love for Ten Thousand Villages.
I LOVE this store. Having had the opportunity to travel the world and to not be traveling, Ten Thousand Villages offers the chance to find international goods that are unique, and available without getting on a plane. If you are looking for a gift for that special someone or a piece from a certain country, this is the place to go. But MORE importantly, the items are fair trade and you are supporting local economies.
I love browsing through this store they have such unique handmade gifts, jewelry, home decor, art and sculpture and textiles representing the cultures of artisans in Asia, Africa, Latin America and the Middle East.It is one of the world's largest fair trade organizations which I really love to support and always happy to see a company involved with.Fair Trade really improves the livelihood for these people.I worked for a company that was highly involved with fair trade so I learnt many interesting facts about fair trade and it really made me more humble and really want to support fair trade.I love the jewelry most of all just stunning pieces and the prices are very reasonable .
I love Ten Thousand Villages! Their fair trade policies and top notch international reputation (as affiliated with MCC) make this store a must try... and then you see their gorgeous merchandise and you're a real goner.
I have shopped at many Ten Thousand Villages in Canada and the US and always find unique and beautiful handcrafted gifts, goodies, and housewares. I highly recommend this store!
This is the place to get something for the person who has everything, and you can call it a "gift with conscience". The store features a wide selection of authentic ethnic, handmade, fair-trade goods ranging from coffee and chocolate to paper products to decor (vases, rugs, statuettes, and on and on). The prices are fairly reasonable, and the variety is fascinating. Skip Pier One and head over to a Ten Thousand Villages store near you.
