My husband raved about this place, insisting that I have to go with him as soon as possible. My husband comes from a family where meals are a big deal and gourmet meals are the norm for them, so I knew there had to be something good about this place. Boy was he right. Not only was the food and atmosphere amazing, but our service was outstanding. The server was personable and invested in his job, he truly seemed to love what he was doing and the company her was doing it for. The Black Tomato is the lounge side of Pasta Fresco in Lethbridge, Alberta. Their main mission is to offer amazing dishes utilizing locally grown and made products as much as possible. I had an amazing experience there and will be going back often!

For my birthday this year, my boyfriend took me here (I've been dying to go) and I just loved it. It's a quaint little place (there is more seating in the summer when the patio is open). Although it's a little hard to hear one another talking, the overall style is pretty cool. It's a small place and they don't take reservations, so my advice would be to go when it's not too too busy. I'm thinking mid-afternoon on a week day possibly would be the best time to appriciate the atmosphere, but I could be wrong. The food is worth the price because it's so filling! I can't wait to go again.
