100% OF CHICKS DIG IT
THIS is the place for the ULTIMATE EYEBROW EXPERIENCE. Tired of having eyebrows that look like punctuation or furry, European friends instead of coiffed, movie star eyebrows? I was too. So for the last YEAR (I shit you not), I've been going here for my brows. And I can't TELL you how many compliments I've had on my chic brows since. At The Brow House, you get 'an eyebrow consultation'....which translates into a eyebrow consultant aesthetically assessing your face, bone structure, eyebrow shape and damage (there have been some BAD brows I've seen roll up in there) and together structure a plan on what you want in conjunction with what works best for your face. Their number 1 rule is to NOT touch your brows inbetween appointments (approx. once every 4-6 weeks) and for some women, this is sheer torture. BUT, if you listen to the advice, and do what they say, you WILL have amazingly, beautiful eyebrows. Trust me, they don't just pluck and send you off. They spend time with you and really help you to understand how important your brows are. Yeah, it's on the expensive side ($25 a session or you can buy packs of 3 for about $60) but isn't worth paying for something that is SO good? Absolutely. Admittedly, I am a brown Nazi now. And yes, I'm sitting here judging all of your brows now.
I went to The Brow House for the first time this past weekend for the “brow fix” treatment. I’ve seen them in neighborhood, but the reviews on other websites were rather mixed. If you’re in need for an overhaul on your eyebrows this your place. They specialize in helping you bring back your original shape and giving you a natural appearance – instead of obvious signs of waxing.
The first treatment it was rather basic – the young lady tweezed my eyebrows and didn’t use any wax. I never thought my eyebrows were too thin, but the lady said I should concentrate on growing back specific sections for a fuller appearance. She recommended that I don’t tweeze between appointments so we could focus on getting the right shape first.
I bought their “repair” package, which includes 3 treatments for $65 plus tax. The price is definitely higher than I’m used to paying, but I’ll see by the end of the time if it’s really worth it. The basic eyebrow treatment is $20, which is yet again a little high but perhaps worth the extra couple of dollars.
The studio is really trendy, yet tiny. They have 3 or 4 old fashion looking red barber chairs in the main room. It was very clean, staff were friendly and non pretentious. I got the impression they were focused on natural beauty instead of high-end spa-like procedures.
