I don't like adding negative reviews but I have tried to be patient with this drycleaner and had too many things ruined and spent too much money on clothes that were merely pressed and not cleaned.
When we first started going here 5 years ago, I had a new white suit jacket that came back with yellow and dark splotches on it. They kindly reimbursed me for it. Not just the drycleaning expense but the jacket itself. We had several years with very little incident.
Then, in the last 12 months I don't know if they switched their suppliers but the quality has been horrible. Suits, dresses and sweaters I've sent to be cleaned have come back merely pressed - not cleaned.
What's the point of pressing something that is dirty? Does removing wrinkles make it clean? How about armpits? I'm sorry if this is TMI but man-made fabrics make me sweat. If the jacket liner has even a hint of polyester, rayon, etc I'm going to sweat in it. That means my jackets definitely need to be cleaned, which is why I take them to the drycleaners after every use. That adds up a lot.
I reached the last straw on Friday when my husband picked up $100 worth of drycleaning to discover that more than half of it smelled even worse than it did going in. Think sweat steam. Gross! Needless to say he went back and they gave him a refund, except they also ruined a yellow silk top I've had for less than a year. It is now a musty looking colour that looks like I've had it for 10 years. I'm expecting a call from the manager to see what they'll do about that one, but in the mean time I'll walk the extra 4 blocks to go to another drycleaner I know won't let me down and his prices are cheaper.
