It might seem a bit pricey for a burger and fries..especially if you have a whole family to feed....but this 'once in a while' treat is sooo worth the money. The best burgers I've EVER tasted by far. The variety is amazing...you can get almost anything on a burger...some are pretty out there...for example, there's one that has pears on it. The one with kraft dinner is terrific and there's a greek goddess one too with lots of feta.
The fries are also great..you can get a variety of kinds but my fave are the sweet potato strings! yum! (You can also buy them at Costco!)

If you've never been to The Works then you don't know what you're missing! It's such a great place to eat. Yes, all they really have are burgers, but you can get whatever you want on it (even Kraft Dinner!). Their website shows you all the locations in Ottawa and even gives their menu online so you get an idea of what they are all about. I've never had the desserts because I'm always too full. It may seem like a lot of money for a burger, but you wont regret it. You even get a choice of beef, veggie, chicken, turkey, or portobello mushroom cap burger! The choices are endless! I also recomend either the dye-cut chips or sweet potato strings, instead of regular fries.
