100% OF CHICKS DIG IT
I love Tips! My nails tend to break often so I begun getting Shellac manicures. Going to Tips is cozy, friendly experience. The staff make a point of getting to know you and are very attentive from the time you walk in. I love their instragram account for ideas. Compared to other nail salons, my Tips manicures tend to last 3-4 weeks without chipping. I have become a monthly visitor and am looking forward to trying other services. Best is their website where I can book quickly and in advance.
Absolutely adore Leeane and Naomi and all the ladies at Tips. the manicures are the best in the city and the atmosphere is fantastic. Always going above and beyond in their design and creativity I can't imagine a better place to go for a regular or out of the ordinary mani/pedi. Cannot recommend them enough!!! GO!!
I've gone here for manicures and pedicures and both are amazing. Leanne and her team are sweet, funny, engaging and really cool. They're up on the latest nail trends and they often have hard to find nail lacquers from Chanel, Deborah Lippmann, China Glaze, OPI and more. They also have Axxium and Shellac. They've really become known for the amazing nail art they've been doing, and owner Leanne Colley's work has been seen in The Globe & Mail, Flare, Fashion and other Canadian publications. They're a fave of beauty editors. I had a half moon manicure and got so many compliments, and I love all the manicures I have seen on other girls, it's always something creative and pretty.
I have now been going to Tips Nail bar for just over 2 months. I first went because I heard that they used the Shellac product! I have fallen in love. Finally a manicure that lasts 14 days! The staff is amazing, everyone is super friendly and I leave every time super happy with my manicure. The only reason I go back after the 14 days is because of regrowth. The actual manicure is still in great shape! LOVE this place and they have me going back over and over again.
You might drive by without noticing this little beauty oasis on the Danforth. Owner Leeanne Colley, an award winning nail enhancement artist and international educator launched Tips Nail Bar in May 2006. Decorated with soothing colours, hardwood floors and leather lazyboys, Tips is a great place to unwind for a little pampering after a long week. Leeanne and her staff are very friendly and detail oriented. You will feel anything but rushed as they expertly buff, massage, polish and slather you with incredible smelling natural products (concocted by Leeanne), while ensuring you are totally comfortable.
I tried their spa pedicure and manicure and it was fantastic. My heels are extremely dry and rough but they have never felt better since my pedicure last week. I opted for a high shine buff on my fingernails, which smoothed away the ridges, leaving them uber soft and shiny.
The products they use are called bod-tini a heavenly collection of sugar scrubs and lotions made with organic and fair trade ingredients. Those products alone are worth the visit here. I left smelling like strawberries and bubblegum and the scent stayed with me for the evening. My husband loved it!
Tips also does facials (I'll try one later!), waxing and private parties. A spa manicure is $25 and a spa pedicure is $50.
I highly recommend Tips for the excellent service, reasonable prices and the totally relaxing experience.

I was recently here again trying the OPI Axxium polish and had another fantastic experience. I was invited to try Axxium from OPI's PR team who invited me here to get my nails done (complimentary). Leeanne and her team are so sweet. There is a great energy in that salon. My nails have been flawless and chip-free going on 3 weeks now and if it wasn't for the regrowth you might think I had them done today. I can definitely see the value of this type of manicure as it lasts and lasts. It's perfect when you have a lot of meetings or events but don't have time to keep running to the salon or like me, you have no skills at applying polish yourself.
Highly recommended!
