So totally impressed with Mountain Equipment Co-op... Have been ordering gear from the states for years but the one thing that impressed me about MEC, and will order again, this last time was.....

Their packaging! I received a bike basket with a pair of socks inside it, wrapped in recyclable bubble wrap and nothing else... No paper stuffing, no boxes surrounding it.....They did not charge me for shipping yet the company actually realizes that the waste from packaging is huge....causes a huge amount of work for us recyclers.....

So I give a huge thumbs up to MEC from rural people as I have issue with ordering online and having to make a trip to the dump or recycle bins after receiving overpacked goods in the mail...

Look forward to my next order which I hope comes wrapped in a recycled superstore or overwaitea plastic shopping bag....Not joking here, wait for that day where retailers realize that packing materials are hellish for us internet orderers....I want decent goods in spite of a rural locale, with a sense that they care about the environment too....
