A great buffet place

This is an all you can eat style buffet, with servers going around clearing plates as well as providing beverages. In the summer, they have a drink called "Blue Lemonade" if I remember correctly and it's absolutely amazing. The food selection is pretty large and does seem to vary from season to season. The desserts are always great as well. I do find it a little pricey for a buffet as I have had higher quality food for the same price.

For those visiting Ottawa - this place is often able to accommodate large groups and families on short notice, and in the summer, when the area is packed with tourists they will often accommodate tour groups. It's best to make a reservation.

Great dessert, not much for the main meal

I heard so many recommendations for this restaurant so while I was in Ottawa I decided to try it. I was disappointing at the main meal food choice selection. I find the main course meals and salads rather bland and there is not a lot to choose from. The pasta station was pretty good so I got a plate of that and they had one good fish dish I really liked. Other than that I did not find much appealing. When it came to the desserts I was in heaven!! They have a chocolate fountain for s'mores and some of the most amazing cakes and tarts. I filled up on the desserts here for sure. The service is pretty good, they don't come refill your water often but the servers were nice for the most part. They use to give a free meal on people's birthday which was a nice touch. Other than getting a free meal or going here for a part (if a friend invited me) it would not be a restaurant of choice.
