My sister and I are complete foodies and were looking for a good Summerlicious restaurant to try out this summer. I used to pass by Ultra while walking in Toronto and was always fascinated by their famous big red doors. So we decided we would check it out. WOW- Ultra is definitely among the best food I have ever tried and the interior is beautiful! I had the watermelon gazpacho and orecchiette and my sister had the blue cheese salad & chicken with rice and lentils (can't remember the name of the dish!). We also bought some fingerling potatoes and steamed green veggies. Dessert for me was homemade mango and guava ice cream. EVERYTHING was AMAZING! Our waiter was great & very experienced although I thought the man at the entrance of the restaurant with the reservation list was extremely rude and unfriendly. We took a quick peek at the rooftop patio and instantly fell in love- I am dying to come back here with my husband! Though it was a bit pricey ($120 ) we thought it was worth every penny and I would gladly pay that amount again for the quality of food we got.
